Biography
Taylen Kinney enters his second season with RWE as an unquestionable superstar who is poised to take RWE on a deep run into the playoffs. Kinney comes into the 2025-26 season ranked 17th and as the number one ranked PG in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He had a spectacular 2024-25 season for RWE which saw him finish as the second runner-up for OTE MVP and capture a spot on the All-OTE Team. Kinney finished the season as one of just eight players averaging over 20 PPG (20.1 PPG) and also finished top five in the league in assists (5.0 APG). He rounded out the season as the most efficient guard in league history, finishing with a 63.1% true shooting percentage. On top of his offensive prowess, he is also a top-tier defender with an average of 2.3 SPG, the third best mark in the league.
This summer Kinney was selected to participate at the USA Basketball Junior National Team Mini Camp. He spent the summer playing for Wildcat Select on the adidas 3SSB circuit this summer alongside fellow OTE player Adam Oumiddoch. In addition, he also competed on the Overtime Elite team at ANGE this summer, where he averaged 12.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG and 6.3 APG.
