Biography

2023-24

Only playing in four regular season games due to injury, Nathan Missia-Dio made his triumphant return in the playoffs, where he played a pivotal role in helping RWE reach the finals in their first season as a program. Before his regular season was cut short, Missia-Dio averaged 9.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG and 3.5 APG to go along with 2.3 blocks which was the second best mark in the league. Playing against the City Reapers in early December, Missia-Dio recorded his lone double-double of the season with 12 points and ten rebounds while also dishing out six assists and swatting four shots.

After missing RWE’s final 13 games of the regular season, Missia-Dio returned for the first game of the playoffs and went on to appear in every game of RWE’s playoff run. In the postseason, Missia-Dio averaged 8.8 PPG and 4.8 RPG while also raising his three-point percentage up to 35.1%. In the team’s closeout game against the first seeded YNG Dreamerz, Missia-Dio notched a season-high 23 points including three made triples. In Game 5 of the OTE Finals against the City Reapers, Missia-Dio registered 11 points and seven boards to go along with a block and a steal apiece as he was nearly able to push RWE over the hump to capture the team’s first championship in program history.

2022-23

Won the championship with the City Reapers. He spent time on all three teams this season as he played with the Cold Hearts in the preseason, Dreamerz for 12 games and the City Reapers in the final stretch. Averaged 7.6 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game in the playoffs. In the championship clinching game, Big Nate finished his season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. He had two double-doubles in the finals helping the Reapers get the sweep. Played 12 games with the Dreamerz before getting traded to the Reapers. Only lost one game all season. Scored in double figures in five games this season with a season high coming with 13 points in the final game of the regular season against the Cold Hearts.

2021-22

Using his 7-5 wingspan, Big Nate was fifth in the league in BLK% (3.0%) & 4th in BLK per 40 minutes (2.3). He scored in double figures in three games with a season high 11 points twice.

Prior to OTE

Nate played two seasons overseas for Espoires Limoges before joining OTE. Big Nate averaged 11.7 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 1.6 APT, and 1.4 SPG in 20 games. He led the Belgian U16 National Team to a 5th place finish in the 2019 Euro Championship.
