Biography
2023-24
Tyler “Hype” Jackson played a massive role for the City Reapers in their championship winning effort as part of an all-around solid season. In the regular season Jackson averaged 5.7 PPG, 3.2 RPG and 3.4 APG in 16 games off the bench. Jackson played his role well as the teams secondary distributor and also as one of the league’s best three-point shooters with a 39.4% clip from beyond the arc during the regular season, the seventh best mark in all of OTE.
Jackson was instrumental in helping the City Reapers capture their second consecutive title, showing up particularly big in Game 5. In the title clinching game, Jackson scored 12 points, a playoff-high, and dished out five assists but most importantly he hit the two free throws that iced the game with 10 seconds left on the clock.
Prep
Tyler Jackson is a point guard from Baltimore, Maryland. As a sophomore at Saint Frances Academy, he led the Panthers to the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Associations (MIAA) conference title and earned him a spot on the Baltimore Catholic League All-League second team. He also shined with Baltimore’s Team Melo in Nike’s EYBL league and helped Team Thrill clinch the 16U championship in the Under Armour Association league.
