Biography

2023-24

Darrion Sutton served as a jack-of-all-trades for RWE this season, as he filled whatever holes the team needed filling. By the end of the regular season, Sutton averaged 10.6 PPG, 3.5 APG and 8.2 RPG, with his rebounding mark standing as the fifth best mark in the league. In a win over the YNG Dreamerz in early January, Sutton was everywhere with a near triple-double of 16 points, seven rebounds and ten assists, with his assist total tied for the sixth most in a game this season. A few weeks later, Sutton was a menace on the boards pulling down 17 rebounds, tied for the fifth most in a game, which included 11 offensive boards, none more pivotal than his final one which turned into a tipped in game-winner to down the Diamond Doves.

Darrion Sutton’s standout moment in the playoffs came in Game 2 of the OTE Finals against the City Reapers where he finished with seven points and seven boards. Despite not hitting a three-pointer since all the way back in mid-December, Sutton found the ball in his hands with RWE down four and eight seconds left. He rose to the occasion, stepping back and splashing down a massive triple to put RWE within one.

Sutton will continue his basketball career in Atlanta, as he is slated to play collegiate basketball at Georgia Tech during the 2024-25 season.
