Kam Mercer may be the future of OTE, as he joins RWE for his first season in the league where he is set to star as one of the league’s brightest young stars. Mercer comes into the 2025-26 season ranked 5th in the class of 2028, according to ESPN. Mercer joins OTE as a young forward who is best known for his unselfish playmaking and strong understanding of how to break down opposing defenses.
Prior to joining OTE, he played his freshman season for Huntington Expression Prep. Mercer has ample national team experience, as he won a gold medal with the USA U16 National Team, who competed at the FIBA U16 AmeriCup in June of this summer. He averaged 5.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG and 2.5 APG at the U16 FIBA AmeriCup in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Mercer played up an age group for the Indy Heat on the Nike EYBL circuit this year where he averaged 9.8 PPG, 5.0 RPG and 2.3 SPG to help lead the team to a 4-0 record during the first session.
