Biography

2021-22

Jean was the first international player to sign with Overtime Elite. He became the OTE scoring champion in its inaugural season after averaging 22.5 points, 6.2 assists per, 9.9 rebounds and 4.6 steals per 36 minutes. Jean was OTE’s only player to record two triple doubles. He set the OTE scoring record at Combine Academy with 33 points. He signed to an Exhibit 10 contract by the New York Knicks after the Overtime Elite season.

Prior to OTE

He led CB Gran Canaria (Spain) to the 7Days EuroCup seminfinals, averaging 18.4 points and 4.6 assists. Before joining OTE, he helped lead the club to the 7DAYS EuroCup semifinals. Montero led the Dominican Republic to a bronze medal in the FIBA U16 Americas Championship in 2019, where he averaged 30.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game
