YNG Dreamerz Stay Perfect with Win Over Cold Hearts

The YNG Dreamerz and City Reapers both came away with wins at OTE Arena on Friday, November 11.

YNG Dreamerz and the Cold Hearts got the night started on Amazon Prime and the Dreamerz looked like a contender early in the season improving to 3-0 with a 92-84 victory.

Jazian Gortman led the team with 19 points going 8-12 from the floor. It was a big team effort after that as six of eight players scored in double figures. Jah Jackson had one of his best games at OTE finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double while with Overtime Elite.

Bryson Warren finished with 14 assists, eight rebounds, six assists and six steals.

Controlling the game throughout, the Dreamerz went on a small run in the fourth to push their lead out to nine and weren’t threatened after that.

Bryce Griggs led the Cold Hearts with 19 points and Matt Bewley finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Overtime Elite leaders are on the road next playing the OSL Falcons in the Bronx on Tuesday, November 15.

In the second game of the night, the City Reapers took on the Word of God Holy Rams. The Holy Rams used a big second quarter to lead 40-33 at halftime.

The City Reapers came out hot in the second half and went on to outscore the Holy Rams 58-29 to get the 91-69 victory.

Johned Walker led the way with 15 points and Ausar Thompson was right behind him with 13 points. Amen Thompson had a double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds while adding five assists. Somto and Ryan Bewley were the other players in double figures.

The City Reapers outrebounded the Holy Rams 57-42.

The City Reapers next game will be on Amazon Prime next Friday, November 18 at 7 p.m. against the YNG Dreamerz.
