OTE Closes Out the Weekend Strong with Three Wins

The three Overtime Elite teams closed out the weekend strong going 3-0 against Word of God, We Are United and Colorado Prep.

All three teams took control of the game in the middle quarters and held off each team trying to get back into the game late for the perfect Saturday.

After the weekend, OTE teams are a combined 16-2 against outside competition.

Recaps of each game are below. Overtime Elite’s next games are December 3 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Team Elite 78 vs. Word of God 73

Team Elite came out ready to play and let their defense fuel their offense. They built a 21-point lead early in the second quarter and were up 48-33 at halftime.

Word of God hung tough and got within six late in the fourth quarter, but Emmanuel Maldonado and Bryce Griggs hit late threes to hold off Word of God’s late run to secure the victory.

Bryson Warren had his jumper going all game and finished with 21 points on 8-16 shooting.

Team Overtime 92 vs. We are United 81

We Are United tried to hang around early and led for just under three minutes in the first quarter, but once Team Overtime got going they were too strong for We Are United.

Team Overtime forced 20 turnovers and turned those into 28 points. We Are United only scored seven points off of the 10 turnovers they created.

Team OTE 57 vs. Colorado Prep 49
