Overtime Elite Takes Care of Business with Saturday Sweep

Overtime Elite had a perfect weekend going 6-0 against Hillcrest Prep, The Skill Factory and DME Academy at OTE Arena.

The closest game all weekend was 17 points with the average margin of victory was 24.5 points for all six games.

Team Overtime held onto first place sitting at the top of the standings with a 15-2 record. Team OTE is in second and Team Elite in third.

Every game from here on out is a big one and that starts this Tuesday with Team Overtime playing Team Elite with two points on the line.

Team OTE 67 vs. DME Academy 49

After beating Hillcrest last night by an Overtime Elite record 36 points, Team OTE did not have a letdown today against DME Academy.

After a back and forth first quarter, Team OTE held DME Academy to just three points in the second quarter to go up 14 at the half. They kept that momentum rolling in the third, out scoring DME by nine allowing them to cruise to the 19-point victory.

Team OTE won both games this weekend by an average of 27 points.

Matt Bewley finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Johned Walker led the team with 16 points and added nine rebounds. Amen Thompson and TJ Clark both scored in double figures as well.

Team OTE matched an Overtime Elite record with 14 steals. Walker led the team with four, but the five Team OTE players that played all chipped in with multiple steals.

Team Elite 83 vs. Hillcrest Prep 63

For the second night in a row, Team Elite outclassed their opponent with it being Hillcrest Prep this time.

They won every quarter giving them the 20-point victory making them winners of their last four games.

Ausar Thompson led the team with 20 points. Five total guys scored in double figures with Jalen Lewis having 13, Ryan Bewley finishing with 12 and Bryson Warren and Jaylen Martin each scoring 10.

Bewley had his first double double at OTE adding 10 rebounds.

Every player on Team Elite scored pushing their record to 13-5.

Team Overtime 71 vs. The Skill Factory 54

In the final game of the night, Team Overtime used a good first and third quarter to get enough cushion to stay undefeated against outside competition.

Four players scored in double figures with Jean Montero leading the way with 13. Jai Smith was right behind him with 12 while also grabbing 11 rebounds.

Dominick Barlow and Jazian Gortman both scored in double figures as well.
