As Overtime Elite prepares for its second season, the league will take some of its draft eligible players to Spain and Serbia to play against top-level professional competition. The trip will provide continued exposure to new opportunities and elevated competition and environments as they continue to prepare for their next steps in basketball.
The trip will be from August 26-September 10, where they will play four games in Spain and four-team tournament in Serbia with some of the top leagues in Europe.
The current roster pending availability is Amen Thompson, Ausar Thompson, Jazian Gortman, TJ Clark, De’Vontes Cobbs, Johned Walker, Jaylen Martin and Kok Yat plus additional pros added to the team to round out the roster. The final roster will be announced closer to their departure date.
In Spain, the group will play teams from Liga ACB, LEB Oro and LEB Plata from August 31-September 5. Liga ACB is regarded as one of the best domestic leagues outside the NBA. While games will not be open to the public, stats and highlights will be available on OTE social channels.
In Serbia, Mega will be hosting a four-team tournament. The tournament will include one Overtime Elite team, Mega, Derby Montenegro and FMP Zeleznik.
Upon returning to the US, Overtime Elite will draft the players, including the nine signees that have been announced for the second season to new teams ahead of training camp and a robust preseason schedule.
