Thompson’s Dominate YNG Dreamerz in City Reapers Victory

Amen and Ausar Thompson combined to score 51 points against the YNG Dreamerz to lead the City Reapers to an 87-71 victory.

The last two undefeated teams at Overtime Elite squared off on Amazon Prime and Amen and Ausar held it as a showcase. Ausar led the way with 27 points going 11-14 from the floor. Amen was right behind him with 24 points going 9-14 from the floor. Amen also had six rebounds and six assists.

The Dreamerz led 31-29 with 4:49 left in the second quarter and the Reapers turned it up a notch running off an 11-0 run. They pushed that lead to eleven at halftime to be up 45-34 at the break.

The Reapers kept it rolling in the third not allowing the Dreamerz to get back into the game, out scoring them 27-18. Their largest lead grew to 27 in the game and they never looked back.

Johned Walker scored 10 points and Ryan Bewley had eight.

It wasn’t the Dreamerz night after a successful road trip this week to New York that moved them to 4-0. Bryson Warren finished with 18 points and Jazian Gortman had 14. Big Jah Jackson had 12 points and six rebounds. Izan Almansa had 10 points and 10 rebounds battling until the very end.

The Dreamerz now get a break until December 2, but the City Reapers will be back at it next week on the road. They’ll travel to Phoenix to play the Hillcrest Bruins on Tuesday, November 22 at 7 p.m.
