Overtime Elite Plays First League Series Games

Overtime Elite was back in its facility in Atlantic Station and this time was playing its first League Series games where all three of its teams matched up against each other.

The format had each team playing twice with each game being 20 minutes. For the league standings, the league series games are worth two points and the prep series games are worth one point.

On the night, Team Overtime didn’t disappoint by going 2-0 defeating the other two teams by a combined 24 points. Team OTE went 1-1 while Team Elite dropped both of its games.

In true Overtime fashion, it was a star-studded crowd with the likes of Quavo showing up as well as former NBA All-Star Baron Davis.

Overtime Elite will be back on the court this Friday taking part once again in three League Series games.

Below are three short recaps of the games.

Team Overtime 45 vs. Team Elite 29

The first game of the night was all Team Overtime as they jumped out to an early lead and cruised to the 16-point victory.

Dominick Barlow and Jai Smith paced Team Overtime with 10 points each, but the team spread the scoring around as every player scored at least one bucket.

In the second half, they pushed their lead out to as big as 21 to clinch the victory and two points in the standings.

Nathan Missia-Dio showed off his athleticism throwing down several dunks and finishing with eight points.

Team Elite 30 vs. Team OTE 41

In the second game of the night, Team OTE was hot early building a double-digit lead right away and never looked back.

Never trailing in the game, they led by as many as 21 early in the second half. Team Elite did make a late 11-0 run to cut into the deficit, but it wasn’t enough to come back and get the win.
