Eli Ellis has been named the Overtime Elite Player of the Week after the City Reapers moved to 9-0 on the season after defeating the Hillcrest Bruins and the OSL Falcons.
Ellis had a great weekend averaging 23 points per game and four rebounds. He did a lot of damage from the outside hitting six threes in both games totaling 12 for the weekend. He shot 55 percent from the outside for the weekend going 12-22 from the floor.
The six threes in both games was more than any player a season ago and is one off the OTE record set by Word of God’s Davin Cosby. Earlier this season, Cosby had seven threes in a game with six of them coming in the first half.
Ellis and the Reapers now have a break for the holidays sitting at 9-0 on the season. They lead the league with the YNG Dreamerz sitting right behind them at 7-1.
