Alexandre Sarr is one of 18 players to be invited to the French National Team training camp to begin the selection process for the U17 World Cup in Malaga, Spain from July 2-10.
The training camp will be from June 2-12.
He just finished his first season as one of the 26 original players to join Overtime Elite for their inaugural season. He played on Team Overtime and finished with a 19-4 record in the regular season. Per 36 minutes, he averaged 13.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks.
This won’t be Sarr’s first experience with the French national team as he played on the U16 French team that won the 2021 FIBA European Challengers Cup. He averaged 12.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals per game and 1.6 blocks per game at that tournament.
The 7-footer is a 2024 draft prospect and will be back with Overtime Elite in Atlanta after spending his summer over in Europe with the U17 French National Team.
