After leading the YNG Dreamerz to a perfect 2-0 weekend to start the season, Jaylen Martin has been named the Overtime Elite Player of the Week.
Martin averaged 22 points and eight rebounds over the weekend leading his team in scoring both games.
He set career highs with 27 points and 14 rebounds against the OSL Falcons on Saturday. Both were league highs this weekend.
The Falcons made a run at the Dreamerz in the third quarter leading by one going into the final frame. Martin scored 19 of his 27 points in the second half and eight of those points in the fourth quarter to pull away and help secure the 86-80 win.
The other players nominated for OTE Player of the Week were Matt Bewley, Ausar Thompson and Armoni Ziegler.
The next Overtime Elite game is taking place in Raleigh as the Word of God Holy Rams play their first game on their home court against the OSL Falcons. The next games in Atlanta at OTE Arena will be Friday, November 11 as Martin and his teammates on the YNG Dreamerz play the Cold Hearts at 7 p.m. on Amazon Prime.
