The YNG Dreamerz outscored the Cold Hearts by 17 points in the second half to move to 5-1 on the season after winning 99-87 at OTE Arena on Friday, December 2.
Dreamerz only led for 2:30 minutes in the first half early, but down by 10 with a minute to go in the second quarter they used a 5-0 run with a Bryson Warren three and Jazian Gortman layup to only trail 47-42 at halftime.
The Dreamerz used that momentum to keep it rolling the second half. The Cold Hearts stuck with them most of the third quarter, but the Dreamerz just kept coming. They went up with 5:17 in the third and wouldn’t give up the lead from there.
Alexandre Sarr had his best game at OTE putting up 20 points and 10 rebounds. The Dreamerz had five players score in double figures overall. TJ Clark had 18 points after hitting four threes, Bryson Warren had 17 points, Izan Almansa had 16 and 15 points for Jazian Gortman.
The Cold Hearts got off to a great start leading by 11 after the first quarter. Naasir Cunningham posted 13 points in the first half helping his team lead by five at the break.
Rob Dillingham did his best to keep the Cold Hearts in it scoring 11 of his 24 in the third quarter, but in the end the Dreamerz had too much firepower. Dillingham hit five threes tonight and had a double-double with 10 assists as well.
Rebounds were always going to be important in this game and the Dreamerz finished with a 52-49 advantage.
The next game will be on Tuesday in New York as as the City Reapers take on the OSL Falcons at 7:30 p.m.
