Biography

2023-24

Daquan Davis had a season for the ages, as his drive and heart propelled RWE to their first OTE Finals in program history. Davis had an immensely successful regular season and was awarded with a spot on the All-OTE Second Team as a result. Davis was one of two players to finish out the regular season in the top ten in both points (17.9 PPG, 7th) and assists (5.8 APG, 1st). Davis was one of three players to appear in every game for RWE in both the regular season and playoffs and he averaged 32.4 minutes per game in his appearances, the sixth most in the league. Davis was an elite offensive talent but his presence was also felt greatly on the defensive end where he averaged 1.6 steals per game, the ninth most in all of OTE. Davis scored over 20 points in nine regular season games and only failed to reach double-digits twice during the whole season. In a matchup against the Blue Checks towards the end of January, Davis nearly notched a triple-double, scoring a then career-high 27 points while dishing out eight assists and pulling down nine boards.

For as good as Davis was in the regular season he took his game to even greater heights in the postseason. Davis upped his scoring average to 22.1 PPG, the second highest scoring mark in the playoffs, while continuing to dish out 6.3 APG, a top three number. Davis had multiple standout performances throughout his spectacular playoff run. In the closeout game against the first seeded YNG Dreamerz in the semi-finals, Davis registered the first and only triple double of the season by any player with a complete stat line of 24 points, ten boards and 11 assists, with his 11 dimes tied for the most in any game during the 2023-24 season. Game 2 of the Finals against the eventual champion City Reapers was a spectacular showing by Davis, as he put up a career-high 37 points, the eighth most in a single game this season.

Davis will continue his basketball career at Florida State University during the 2024-25 season.
